Keep Your Account Records Right To Avoid Witch-Hunt, Gov Aliyu Advises Colleagues

Muazu-Babangida-Aliyu1Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has stated that he cannot be neutralised by any force.

He was speaking in apparent reaction to moves by some political elements to malign his person over his outspokenness.

Aliyu, who said  yesterday in Minna at the launch of a training programme for 300 youths in modern livestock and fish farming procedures that  he would not be bothered as long as he was doing the right thing, added:

“People will abuse you, people will call you names no matter what you do and even if they don’t know how to get at you, they will wait when there is a competition to get you down if they can’t get you to their side.

“But as for me, no one can neutralise me by the grace of God who created me.”

Aliyu, who is also chairman of Northern States Governors Forum, harped on the need for proper keeping of accounts by his colleagues and other political office holders so they would be able to defend themselves when the need arises after leaving office.

“Try to do the right thing, keep your records right so that when they come, you can show them the books then no one will be able to hold you,” he advised.

  1. All the public officers should not forget that the service to humanity is the service to God. The best way to keep account is to create positive and indelible good records on minds of the people you are governing. This can only be done through good governance.
