Gov. Martin Elechi of Ebonyi has directed the immediate removal of his Personal Assistant on Primary Health, Dr Nora Aloh.
A statement by Dr Onyekachi Eni, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abakaliki, said Aloh was sacked for “acts inconsistent to the mandate of her office”.
“The removal takes effect from Saturday, July 13, 2013 and she is directed to hand over all government property in her possession to the appropriate authorities.
“She also henceforth ceases to be a member of the State Executive Council,” the statement said.
NAN reports that Aloh has been involved in a controversy, in recent time, over her alleged interest to contest the chairmanship of Ezza North Local Government Area in the forthcoming council polls. (NAN)
