Major Hamza al-Mustapha and Lateef Shofolahan were on Friday discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal in the case of the assassination of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, which lasted almost 15-years.

The former CSO to late General Sani Abacha had cleared the air on his status on Sunday during his reception by the Kano State government when he said: “The decree that set up the military is very explicit on the issue, and the court verdict left no vacuum on same.”
