Delay Of Salaries Of 13,000 Teachers Worries Rivers PDP

Teacher-teaching

Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers state has expressed sympathy with the 13 thousand teachers that have not been paid their salaries months after they were employed by the state government.

“PDP, Rivers State Chapter, again expresses serious concern on the plights of the newly recruited teachers, whose salaries are being owed by the Rivers State Government after several months of their engagement,” said Mr Felix Obuah, State PDP Chairman.

Obuah, who spoke through his media aide, Mr Jerry Needam said the party was really disturbed by the plights of the teachers.

“The party wonders why up till this moment, none of the employed teachers knows how much he/she is entitled to, as monthly salary, as the letters issued to them do not state how much they will be paid monthly by the government.”

The statement also expressed worries with the time the biometrics being conducted on the teachers was taking.

  1. It is obvious that after the exit of Joseph Mbu as Rivers State police Chief,PDP is looking for a way to make the people especially the teachers believed they care about them. Peole can not be deceived by all these cheap propanganda. Was it not the same teachers PDP is corcerned about their salaries that were dispersed with tear gas during their biometric check and later labelled as political thugs?
Why is PDP coming up with this story when it was actually created by them?
Politics is for the benefit of the people. Anything outside that is dictatorship.
Let us play politics as a civilised people not the way it done now.
