BalatA former Minister of Works and Housing in the Olusegun Obasanjo administration, Isaiah Balat is dead. He died Tuesday afternoon at the age of 61.

Balat, who represented Kaduna South Senatorial District in the National Assembly from 2003 to 2007, until his death, was the Special Adviser to Vice President Namadi Sambo on Special Duties. He was also a PDP governorship aspirant in Kaduna State.
