Taxing Churches Will Attract The Wrath Of God, Bishop says

Chairman, Delta State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Pius Odioko, has kicked against the proposal by the National Conference Committee to impose taxes on churches, saying it will attract the wrath of God.

Odioko, who is also the Presiding Bishop of Jesus Dominion Church spoke on behalf of the PFN in Warri on Sunday, wondering when confab delegates became lawmakers.

According to him, the delegates should concentrate on issues that will restore Nigeria’s dwindling image and the terrorism challenges.

“I am shocked and amazed that with the myriad of problems confronting Nigeria, it is the Church that the delegates decide to tax, instead of focusing their energy on important and serious matters.”

  2. Paul, it seems like u’re one of those who do not want the word of GOD preached. Nigeria has a very big problem confronting her which need urgent attention which I personally know, taxing body of CHRIST is not. Devil is a liar and will always remain a liar.

  3. I’m not surprised that most pastors will kick against this, as most of them were actually called by their bellies and not by God. If they were doing the right thing, they will support taxation.
