Former Governorship Aspirant Vows Never To Contest Election Again

Former military administrator of Osun and Bauchi states, Colonel Theophilus Bamigboye (Rtd) was once a governoorship aspirant in Kwara State, but he has now declared never to seek any elective post again.

A chieftain of PDP in kwara state, Bamigboye said he has resolved to use the remaining part of his life to add value to humanity stressing that there are several other avenues to serve humanity than elective posts.

He spoke on Tuesday when he led members of the Rotary Club of Ilorin GRA on a courtesy visit to the secretariat of Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The PDP chieftain, who is also the new Charter President of the club said he had used most part of his life to see to the oneness of the country as a military man, adding that he had been working to ensure socio-economic development of the nation after his retirement from military.

“Now is time for me to leave the stage for the incoming generations seeking to contest the elective positions in my state to come out and vie for the positions.”

“When you start a dance, you must know that the dance will come to an end. So, I will no longer seek elective position in my life again but rather devote remaining part of life to serve God, my family and development of humanity”.
