Giwa & Nasarawa to Replay Controversial League Game

Giwa FC and Nasarawa United are to replay a controversial Glo Premier League Match Day 35 fixture on Friday, 14 November.

This is in line with a fresh order by the Organizing and Disciplinary committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The match was initially rescheduled for Wednesday, 29 October, but the League Management Companhy (LMC) shifted it to the day after because the ‘Jos Elephants’ were absent from the venue, citing a Jos court injunction which annulled the September 30 NFF elections, after which visiting Nasarawa were awarded a walkover because the hosts failed to turn up the following day for the same game.

Nasarawa had appealed against the decision for a replay; however, the LMC O&D ruled on Wednesday that the league body’s decision stands.
