Boxing Great, Muhammad Ali Leaves Hospital, Back Home For His 73rd Birthday

Boxing legend, Mouhammad Ali left hospital on Friday after been readmitted for follow-up treatment on a severe urinary tract infection.

Ali, who is 73 today (Saturday), returned home in time for his birthday and according to his spokesman, Bob Gunnell, the three-time heavyweight world champion was looking to spend the day with family and friends watching basketball.

Ali first checked into hospital in December and spent two weeks before he was released earlier this month. He returned to an undisclosed hospital on Friday but is now back to one of his homes.

Gunnell added that Ali’s family send out thanks to the millions of fans who have sent in wishes.

The American has been struggling with Parkinson’s disease since diagnoses in 1984- three years after his retirement.
