Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State yesterday dissolved the appointments of all political office holders made during the Jonah Jang-led administration.
The governor, in a statement signed by his director, press and public affairs, Samuel Emmanuel Nanle, in Jos on Wednesday, said the governor had approved the immediate dissolution of the political appointees of the immediate past administration except tenured statutory boards.
Referring to a statement by Secretary to the State Government – Rufus Bature, the government directed affected appointees to hand over all affairs of their agencies including government properties in their possession immediately to the most senior officer.
The statement expressed Mr. Lalong’s appreciation to the affected appointees for their contributions while in service and wished them success in their future endeavours.
