STF Declares Herdsman Wanted In Connection With Plateau Attacks

Fulani GunmanThe Special Task Force in Plateau State codenamed ‘Operation Safe Haven’, has declared a cattle rearer, Aminu Hambane wanted for his alleged involvement in various attacks on communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
A statement by the STF Media Officer, Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, in Jos, the state capital on Tuesday, said the herdsman was declared wanted following operations conducted by the internal security outfit in the areas, which had been the theatre of the communal clash between cattle rearers and farmers.
The statement read, “Following series of operations conducted in the aftermath of the Bisichi incidence, in which the Commander, Operation Safe Haven, Maj. Gen Tagbo Ude, moved decisively to prevent a relapse to violence in the state, the OSH has declared the person, whose photograph is here attached (Aminu Hambane) wanted.
“He goes by the name Aminu Hanbane. He is wanted in connection with cattle rustling, proliferation of arms, attacks on communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom general areas.
“Anyone with useful information, which could lead to the arrest of the suspect and any known collaborators, is please requested to come forward with such information to the Headquarters of Operation Safe Have or any of its sector headquarters, especially at Barkin Ladi, Riyom and Jos South Local Government Councils”.
