Fuel Crisis: Queues Will Disappear April 7, Kachikwu Says As He Apologizes Over Comment On Fuel Scarcity

The long queues that have surfaced and remained in filling stations across the country as a result of fuel scarcity will disappear next week Thursday, the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu has assured Nigerians.

Kachikwu, who is also the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, made this known when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) over the lingering fuel scarcity.

“By 6th or 7th April, the long queues in filing stations would disappear”, he said.

Mr. Kachikwu, who last week got knocks for his comments that he is not a magician and that Nigerians should bear the fuel scarcity problem till May, apologized to Nigerians.
