APC-Logo1A former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Edo State, Chief Lucky James, Monday debunked the rumors of his defection from the All Progressives Congress to another party.
The APC chieftain, who described rumors of his purported defection as callous and calculated attempt to dent his image, ascribed the development to the handwork of his enemies
Chief James, who addressed a press conference in Benin City to debunk the rumors of his defection, said having been a foundation member of the APC, he cannot afford to live a house he has built
He said “This is an era where rumors thrive in politics but I want to say with all since of humility that I do not intend to live my party in which I am a root member. I cannot be so angered to live the house I have built for Lizards to occupy it.
“The rumor mongers should think of other things to say about Lucky James and not defection. Our main preoccupation now is how to tackle the September 10 election, not even the APC primaries because the primary is an in house thing.
“A candidate from APC must emerged which the delegates must decide. Not even one person can decide who emerges as APC candidate… The current scenario you see in APC now is normal because a beautiful bride must be struggled for; nevertheless supporters of our various aspirants should not be over zealous because we need each other after the primaries, because we need a united house for the September 10th elections”.
