Senate to invite IGP Adamu over Kajuru Castle Killings and Kidnappings

Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central says the Senate has resolved to invite the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu over the incessant killings and kidnappings in many parts of Kaduna, Zamfara, Niger and Katsina states.

According to the federal lawmaker, during plenary at the Ref Chambers on Thursday, he raised the alarm that insecurity was at its peak in the aforementioned states.

He particularly referenced the recent killings and kidnappings that took place in Kajuru Castle Resort in Kaduna on April 19th, 2019 — Which led to the death of a British tourist, Faye Mooney and her partner.

According to him, the Senate then resolved to invite the IGP to the Senate for explanations.

He wrote via Twitter on Friday morning thus: Today at the Plenary, I raised a substantive motion on the kidnappings and killings in Kajuru on the 19th of April 2019 and cases of killings and kidnappings in Parts of Kaduna, Niger, Zamfara and Katsina state. The Senate resolves to invite the IG of Police.
