A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to a recent comment by Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai stating that “no one from the north has ever been convicted of 419 or fraud. ”
Reacting via his Twitter handle on Monday, the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party accused the northern leaders of looting more than any region in the country.
Fani-Kayode noted that the only reason northerners are walking freely is that the security operatives and the anti-graft agencies are headed by northerners, and the scenario would be different if the Southerners headed such agencies.

“Put the EFCC, the Police and DSS in the hands of southerners and see what happens. Northerners have looted the treasury over the last 59 years of our national existence more than ANY other group of Nigerians,” he tweeted.
Fani-Kayode speaking further agreed with El-Rufai’s statement describing the north as “the center for drug abuse, gender violence, banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism.”
He said: “I concur. It is also the center for paedophilia, racism, Islamic fundamentalism, genocide, ethnic cleansing, mass murder, religious bigotry and the persecution of Christians.”
