Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday revealed that the screening of ministerial nominees will commence on Wednesday.

This was after the Senate President read out the list on the floor of the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly.

According to Lawan, all other legislative activities would be put on hold “for this very important national assignment.”

“The screening of the ministerial nominees will commence tomorrow morning,” he said.

“All other legislative activities will take backstage for this very important national assignment.”

President Muhammadu Buhari had on Monday sent 43 ministerial nominees for to the Senate for confirmation.

Out 43, 12 nominees on the list were members of his previous cabinet. New additions like former governors of Osun and Akwa Ibom states, Rauf Aregbesola and Godswill Akpabio made the new list.
