Former Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Attahiru Jega, has confirmed that he has joined Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Recall that the former INEC boss joined the party to head its Committee on Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat Analysis.

Abdul Gombe, the publicity secretary of the party announced Attahiru Jega’s appointment after PRP held its 62nd National Executive Committee meeting in Kaduna on June 22.

Confirming the report, Jega told PUNCH “Yes, I am one of his (Aminu Kano) disciples”, but gave no additional details.

Aminu Kano formed the PRP in 1978 after the proscription of political parties was lifted.
