A female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member identified as Amaka Asikaogu has lost her life a few days to her passing out ceremony(POP) after checking into an Abuja hotel in the company of a male companion, The Nation reports.
According to the report, the lady was said to have checked into the hotel in company of the male companion who left shortly afterwards.
The hotel receptionist, while narrating the incident, stated that the male companion was asked about the whereabouts of Amaka and he assured them that she is fine and was alone in the room.

The receptionist added that she put a phone call to the room where she was lodged and she assured them that all was well, adding that she just wants to be left all alone.
When it was time to check out, however, Amaka was not seen. The management was worried and had to force their way to the room and found Amaka’s lifeless body in the room. A distant family friend who pleaded anonymity told reporters that her parents had sent her money for rent when she complained that the person she was staying with asked her to leave the house.
The family friend said: “It was like she was waiting for the end of the weekend before she gets the accommodation before the unfortunate incident happened.”
