Why ‘Last Respect’ Given To The Dead Can’t Be Given To The Living – BBNaija’s Kemen

BBNaija 2017 “See Gobbe” star, Kemen has explained why the last respect paid to the dead can’t be given to the living.

This is in reaction to the criticisms that have trailed reactions to the death of veteran musician, Sound Sultan.

Entertainment executive, Soso Soberekon had shaded celebrities who took out time to mourn Sultan’s death on social media.

He wrote:

How many of you checked on him when you heard he was sick? The news was everywhere. Now everyone is posting now that he’s gone.”

Kemen has thus found a suitable reply for Soberekon and others criticizing those who have mourned Sound Sultan publicly.

Taking to his Instagram page, the fitness coach wrote:

The love, attention, and respect accorded to the dead can only be accorded to the dead because it is a “one-off”, it’s called “last respect”. You can’t give such to the living because it is not sustainable. Don’t mistake this reality for some selfish emotional bias.”
