Kachikwu Rejects ADC Suspension, Says Chairman’s Tenure Has Elapsed

The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has rejected a suspension notice issued by the party’s executives.

Recall that ADC’s Deputy National Chairman (Politics), Bamidele Ajadi, had earlier in the day, announced his suspension in a statement after an emergency meeting of its National Working Committee (NWC) held on Friday.

The party accused its presidential candidate of anti-party activities.

Speaking on the development, Kachikwu stated that the tenure of the party’s Chairman, Ralph Nwosu has elapsed, therefore he has no capacity to suspend him from the party.

He stated this while speaking at a news conference in Abuja.

Kachikwu stated that all decisions taken by Mr Nwosu since August 28 are illegal, null and void in the eyes of the law according to the party’s constitution.
