The Senator representing Enugu East in the National Assembly, Chimaroke Nnamani has spoken out amidst the controversy that has trailed his ‘political romance’ with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Recall that eyebrows were raised when it was discovered that Senator Nnamani, a chieftain of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had been appointed into the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

The serving lawmaker’s name appeared in a list released on Friday, where he was listed as one of the members of the Local Government Directorate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

After first claiming that the listing was incorrect in its initial response, the APC later confirmed that the PDP Senator was in fact supporting Bola Tinubu, its presidential candidate.

A Twitter user going by the name Henry Shield questioned the lawmaker on Tuesday about his political devotion amid the continuing political drama.

Nnamani was directly questioned if he was working for Tinubu and the former governor said he is still PDP senator, loyal to the party, and campaigning for the same party.

He wrote: “I am a PDP Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial Zone. That is my Hustle at the moment. I am loyal to my Party and already campaigning for same.”
