DSS Raids Dasuki’s Residence, Allegedly Places Him Under House Arrest

Sambo Dasuki-National Security AdviserThe Department of State Security on Thursday raided the Abuja home of immediate past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.) and reportedly placed him under house arrest.

A federal high court had on Tuesday ordered the Federal Government to release the ex-NSA’s international passport to enable him embark on a foreign medical treatment abroad.

However, Mr. Dasuki’s plan to travel on Wednesday night was scuttled by the DSS.

According to fears in security circles, the former NSA, who is standing trial for illegal possession of arms and money laundering, may not return to the country if he is allowed to embark on the foreign trip.

Subsequently, it was gathered that the DSS had succeeded in getting a warrant to enable them keep him under house arrest until the next adjourned date.
