The senator representing Bayelsa east senatorial district, Ben Murray-Bruce, has made it his personal business to provide credible opposition to the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government by not only offering constructive criticisms and proffering solutions, but enjoining Nigerians to participate actively in their government.
Sometimes he gets a backlash and at other times commendation for his stance on national issues, the media mogul-turned politician has refused to be deterred and on Tuesday morning, offered Nigerians a chance to keep President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers, who will be sworn-in tomorrow, honest and true to the administration’s resolve to run a lean and efficient government.
In a series of tweets with the hashtag #Keepingthemhonest, Sen. Murray-Bruce urged Nigerians to monitor the in-coming ministers and how they comport themselves in public, advising them to take photos and send to him if they notice any member of the incoming Federal Executive Council flying first class, moving in excessively long convoys and abusing the powers attached to their offices.
According to him, his television station, Silverbird, will broadcast such photos.
1-Lets monitor @MBuhari's ministers. If you see them flying 1st Class, take a pic, send to me. @SilverbirdTV will air it #Keepingthemhonest
