Father of late footballer, Emiliano Sala, Horacio Sala, has died of a heart attack, according to recent AFP reports.
The father of Argentine footballer Emiliano Sala, who died in a helicopter crash in January was said to have passed away at the age of 58 after a heart attack.
The sad news was announced by the mayor of the village where he lived on Friday.
This will be a huge blow to the Sala family, as his son, an Argentina striker died in a horrific aircraft crash in January — The 28-year-old striker died on his way to Cardiff City, sadly after he had just been signed by the Premier League side for £15million ($19.7million) from Nantes.
“Horacio’s wife called me at five o’clock in the morning (0800 GMT). The doctors were already there, he never managed to get over the death of Emi,” Progreso mayor Julio Mueller said.
