Leicester City Fans Furious With Brendan Rodgers Over Poor Start

Fans of Leicester City are furious with the head coach of the team, Brendan Rodgers and are calling for his sack by the club’s board following the woeful defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Foxes scored first in the game through a penalty from Youri Tielemans, only to fall behind after conceding goals to Harry Kane and Eric Dier.

James Maddison netted an equalizer for Leicester, but a second-half collapse saw them concede four goals as Rodger’s side lost 6-2 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The heavy loss at Tottenham meant that Leicester had conceded at least five goals in successive top-flight matches for the first time since September 1980.

The defeat leaves the east Midlands side stuck to the bottom of the Premier League table with only one point, having lost six of their opening seven matches of the season.

But the bad run of form has left fans furious as they are clamouring for a change at the club and are keen to see the northern-Irish manager vacate his position at the King Power Stadium.

One said: ‘Suspect that Rodgers will be sacked after this debacle. Eleven goals conceded in two games would be embarrassing enough for a promoted club but for a club that won the FA Cup only last year and played in a European Semi Final earlier this year…yikes.’

According to reports, the Leicester City board have commenced the search for Rodgers’ replacement.
