Tobi Amusan, the reigning World and Commonwealth champion in the women’s 100m hurdles, has expressed her delight and excitement over her latest ranking released Friday night by World Athletics.
From being ranked 43rd in September 2021, Amusan is ranked fifth in the world in the latest rankings. Her compatriot, Ese Brume, moved up 32 places from being ranked 93rd in the world to 61st in the same period.
Both athletes have had a fantastic year with excellent results in all the international competitions.
The Federal Government awarded both athletes national honours for their remarkable achievements for the country at the presidential reception held at the State House, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.
